About The Home School Helper
The Home School Helper provides educational resources to assist home schooling families, as they instruct their children. In addition, The Home School Helper offers English and History courses for Junior High and for Senior High students, held weekly in Watsonville, California, on the beautiful Central Coast.
Junior & Senior High Courses
Are you looking for a little help with homeschooling your Junior and Senior High student? Meet once a week with other homeschoolers for great discussions, lectures, and new insights to what God can teach us through literature and history.
These are full year courses; students will receive assignments for the entire week, and all homework is corrected and graded. Parents are expected to make sure assignments are completed at home. Of course parents are still in charge of their child's education, so they are free to make adjustments in the assignments. Schedule
Junior High (grades 6-8) meets on Wednesday 9:00-12:00
Senior High (grades 9-12) meets on Friday 9:00-12:00
Prices
$90 per month for the two classes (English and History), or $900 per year. Members of Green Valley Christian Home School group receive a discount of $10 per month, or $100 per year. Payment is due the 1st of each month, September through June.
Course Rotation
All history courses, except Government & Economics and The American Constitution, include geography. Each year the English classes for both Junior and Senior high include composition, literary analysis, poetry, grammar, and vocabulary.
Senior High Courses (4 year rotation): World History; Early American History; Government & Economics; Modern American History.
Junior High Courses (3 year rotation): World History; American History; The American Constitution.
